Basement Studio has been a labour of love. If I could stand with you in the building as it was at the start, you would hardly believe that you’re standing in the same space. Everything that you see at Basement has been hand built by me, my friends and my family. Time and care have gone in to every little detail. Like any home, it has it’s quirks, but this is what makes it feel like home to us. Several of our regular clients describe it as a home from home, I hope that it might be that for you as well. The studio is stocked with high end vintage and contemporary gear, but on a personal note I am very proud to have designed and created some of the wonderful equipment that we use daily. Over the years, I have worked with my Dad (a gifted electronic/sound engineer) to design and build custom microphone preamplifiers, amplifiers and headphone systems that bring a unique and personal sound to our studio. If Basement had a mission statement, it would be to make music production accessible to all. We believe that music and creativity can be a profound part of everyday life, therefore, we have always endeavoured to make Basement Studio a professional, but most importantly, a welcoming, encouraging and affordable space.
